This statment isn’t controversial Biblically. There is no such thing as a worship leader in the Bible! Worship comes from within a person and has to do with the complete submission to God from within your spirit.

What about David? David was a worshiper and he was a leader. But you cannot lead someone into worship. Worship must come from within each individual.

Imagine for a moment Cain and Abel talking about Abel’s worship, and why God accepted it, but not Cain’s. Abel, desiring his brother’s offering to be acceptable worship says, “Cain, just copy what I’m doing, and THEN, God will accept your worship. NO! Worship comes from within. It is the very submission, and death to your own will which enables worship to be real. It isn’t something that other can do for you!

Worship in the context of the Bible happens in the Temple. Only. Not in churches, or homes, or places of “worship” – those don’t exist. Only in the Temple. Which is why what Yeshua did for us was so significant! He made US one with Him. Stones that are part of the Temple of the Lord!

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord.  In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:19-21

you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:5
